A Day In Shoreditch

Shirt - New Look (I could only find the Teens version)    Skirt - Topshop (old)     Dr Martens    Jacket & Hat- Vintage

So, yesterday I spent a afternoon at Brick Lane I first of all visited a fish and chip shop called Poppies which sold some delicious fish 'n' chips! I actually went to brick lane hoping to find some vintage doctor martens but ended up having a complete change of mind. After shooting some photos on some amazing grafitti walls I jumped back onto the tube and headed to Oxford Street so I could find an American Apparel, but on the way I popped into 'New Look' and ended up seeing some new shoes and Jewellry.

I wanted to wear something quite casual but I wanted to wear my new blue and white polka dot shirt and thought it went well with an old navy blue skirt from Topshop that I brought for christmas two years back and dressed it down with my vintage denim jacket, beanie hat and patent black dm's.

Polka Dots

Top - New Look    Skirt - H&M    Dr Martens - Schuh    Necklace - Topshop

Today I went to visit my friend Izzy, and we decided to go out and take some Outfit photos, which probably wasnt the best idea as it was freezing cold.

Searching through diffent style blogs, is great to find some inspiration for new outfits, and I've never been a big fan of Polka dots until seeing it dotted around on quite a few posts. I recently found this black and white polka dot crop top from 'new look', I would normally be the person to walk straight past these type of items in shop but as I'm trying to get back into the vintage 'kind-a' style, I'd like to be purchasing some more Polka Dots in the future.

Winter Skincare Nourish

I've just tried and tested two products from Soap & Glory and I have to say they've made my skin feel fab! First I started of with the 'No Clogs Allowed' detox mask which is a 'super self heating deep pore detox mask' it made my skin feel refreshed and it smelt almost like I was in a spa which automatically made me feel relaxed. The great thing about this mask is once its on your face you wet your hands and scrub and it turns blue! and you can feel the mask warming up, after five minutes I washed it off and (ta dah) my skin felt detoxed.

The next I used was the 'Bright Here, Bright Now' energy boost balm I used this like a moisturizer onto clean skin and it made my skin have an instant glow, it's just what it needed in this weather. As it is a balm it had a nice, thick texture which quickly sank into my skin and made it feel smooth, soft and a lovely bright complexion.

Blondie Brownies

Thought i'd make a treat tonight, and make Blondie Brownies with the sweetness of the white chocolate and blast of rasberry together just make it taste delicious!

Ingredients :
150g white chocolate (plus extra to decorate)
100g butter
3 eggs
175g caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
200g self-raising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
175g raspberries

Break the chocolate into a bowl, add the butter and set the bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water and leave until melted.
Whisk the eggs, sugar and vanilla in a second bowl with an electric whisk until it goes thick (mine didnt go really thick, but once i added the flour it was fine)
fold the melted chocolate and butter into the egg mixture then the flour and baking powder. Pour the mixture into the lined tin and sprinkle with the raspberries and add extra white chocolate chunks.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until well risen, the top is crusty and the centre still a little soft.

Lunch On Oxford Street

So I went for brunch in a place called the 'Market Place' and was quite suprised when I walked in and tasted some of the delicious food they had on offer, as it wasnt the most appealing place from the outside I thought the food was impressive with its tasty grilled med veg, but I actually opted for the market 'philly cheese' burger and delicious handcut chips (all above). Well I thought I'd start the new year being healthy and try the green diesel juice with cucumber, celery, apple & mint (sounds gross, I know!) but when it arrived to the table it came in a Jam Jar glass and looked very green, But tasted fab! I'm pretty sure its worth popping in if your visiting Oxford Street.
